Equine Dreams receives funds from the ILQHA Recreational Riding Program
Equine Dreams would like to express its gratitude to the Illinois Quarter Horse Association Recreational Riding Program for naming Equine Dreams as the official 2015 charity. Proceeds from the ILQHA All Breed 9th Annual Trail Ride, which included a live and silent auction, and raffle were donated to Equine Dreams. The event was held the last weekend of September at the Green River Saddle club in Amboy.
Equine Dreams provides Equine Assisted Activities free to over 80 children and adults with special needs; weekly in DeKalb, Kendall, Kane and LaSalle counties. Activities offered range from Therapeutic horseback riding to visits to local hospitals and nursing homes with their miniature therapy horses. Located along the Fox River south of Sandwich, this PATH International Premier Accredited Center is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities. An all-volunteer and highly dedicated and trained staff, along with carefully selected horses are the heart of the program.

The Recreational Riding Program is a program sponsored by the Illinois Quarter Horse Association. They are an all-breeds, all disciplines, frequent rider program. The Rotary Club of St. Charles and Burry Foods sponsored a Spring Clean Up at Equine Dreams. From that fundraiser we were able to raise $25,000 and Allstate Insurance will match 15% for another $3,750. This was a grass roots campaign and all the funds came from volunteers.
Thank you Rotary Club of St Charles in conjunction with Burry Foods that gifted Equine Dreams with a $25,000 donation Thursday May 15 to finish their sensory /Anna Danielson memorial trail. A special thank you and dedication in honor of St. Andre Bessette through his intercession of St. Joseph will be acknowledged as a memorial at the trail head for the blessings given.
Equine Dreams is thankful for the continued blessings and support as we finish this trail by the end of July and begin our capital campaign for our future building. Information can be obtained at www.equinedreams.org
